Spray-painted sliding door wardrobe

This fully custom-made hallway wardrobe is the synergy of modern soft closing mechanism and the traditional spray-painted doors. It is common thing of a contemporary look when you think of the sliding door wardrobe. However, this is not the case with this project. The fitted wardrobe features white spray-painted doors with routed handles. The traditional vibe of the doors compliments the features of the walls, matching the overall style of the property. The sliding mechanism allows to safe the space of the hallway and also makes it more convenient to move around while dressing up and putting the shoes on. The hidden sliding system makes the overall look more minimalistic and neater, also covering the top and bottom infills.

This refined and beautifully crafted bespoke fitted wardrobe, installed in the elegant London property, is the example of the quiet sophistication of contemporary made-to-measure piece of fitted furniture. Built-in in the space with the warm tones of a herringbone oak parquet floor and pale neutral walls with traditional rail detailing, the wardrobe complements the character of the room entirely.

The exterior is defined by two full-height frameless sliding door panels, each finished in a flawlessly smooth off-white spray-painted MDF — professionally applied to achieve the kind of perfectly even, brush-mark-free surface that only a professional spray system delivers. Each door panel is fitted with a single elegantly routed inset handle providing the smooth, ergonomic grip whilst maintaining the completely seamless look of the door. All sliding mechanisms operate on the soft-close system. The frameless construction of the door system — with no visible top or bottom frame profiles — is a particularly refined detail, giving the wardrobe a minimalistic and clean look with simple, refined lines and structure.

The interior of the fitted wardrobe is made of the wood-effect laminated board — its subtle grain pattern and tone provides the warm, Scandinavian-influenced vibe complimenting the painted exterior. The internal features of the storage unit include upper shelving, hanging rail with ample clearance, and a lower section with a set of drawers fitted with polished chrome dome knobs — a considered hardware choice that brings a touch of understated elegance to the internal design.
Another section includes the hanging rail for the longer garments with the fitted power socket and drawers that operate on soft-close runners, closing silently and smoothly.

Being entirely bespoke, every element of this custom-made fitted wardrobe — from door dimensions and interior layout to finish colour and hardware selection — was designed and crafted precisely to the requirements of the customer.
